SUMMER REVISION PROGRAMME (Maths & English)

Junson Revision will be running a stimulating and challenging intensive revision programme for candidates who will be sitting the 11+ exams in 2025. The program will run for a period of ten working days. Each daily session will be four hours. Both Maths & English will be covered.

  • Dates: From Monday, 21st of July to Friday, 1st of August, 2025 (Weekdays Only).

The focus of this programme will be the key areas for Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the entrance exams (Maths & English) for the Kingston and Sutton grammar schools. During the revision programme, the focus will be on exam techniques, speed and how to improve comprehension responses.

STRUCTURE

Revision will be split into two stages: Stage 1 and Stage 2. This will help the students understand the differences between the two stages; then master the different techniques and appreciate the depth of knowledge required for each stage. The programme’s main focus is on technique, speed, problem solving and clear explanation of both stages.

Students will also be working in a very challenging environment and will be taught and tested thoroughly to ensure that they are fully prepared before the Stage 1 and Stage 2 exams in September, 2025. The contents of the programme will also include teaching the difficult topics such as Simultaneous Equations, Algebra, Proportional Reasoning, Problem solving etc. Students will also be shown how to write effectively and efficiently when completing written comprehension pieces.

The pace of the programme will be fast but with some fun elements and students will be tested thoroughly under exam conditions.  Problems will be turned on their heads to help your child gain an extra advantage over other exam candidates.

Students will have the opportunity to revisit the difficult Maths topics out of the 36 topics required to know for the exams. New English material will be used to challenge students further during the two week period.  There will also be an opportunity for parents to use some of the extra resources to help support their child at home.

There will be two 10 minute snack breaks during each session and students will be required to bring their own food/snacks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This programme will be delivered by Uchey, a PGCE qualified teacher, who has tutored students that have achieved high scores for their entrance exams.  Each child has been successful and has gained a place at top grammar school in either Kingston or Sutton Borough.   .

The cost of this revision programme is less than £60 per day (and less than £15 per hour).
